On the archive

These photographs document the quiet architecture of recovery. Each cast records a precise moment of fracture and repair, captured with a large-format camera in the orthopaedic clinic at St. Thomas’.

The collection began in January 1997 and continues as an ongoing study of form, texture, and the human body under constraint.
