Request invitationThe Barton Club exists for those who prefer competition without spectacle. We play on the best public and private courts Austin has to offer—Zilker, Barton Springs, private residences, and occasional guest access to university facilities.
No clubhouse. No pro shop. No membership fees. Just a tightly held roster of players who value precision, sportsmanship, and the quiet satisfaction of a well-played point.
A permanent, ranked ladder runs year-round. Positions are earned through challenge matches played at mutually agreed courts. Three formal tournaments are held each year: the Spring Open, the Summer Invitational, and the Autumn Classic. All events are single-elimination with consolation draws.
Any two members may issue or accept a challenge. Results are recorded by the ladder secretary and update standings every Sunday evening.
Three invitation-only events per year. Draws are seeded by ladder position. Finals are played at private estates with spectators limited to members and one guest each.
USTA rules with one exception: no coaching, no line judges, and no excuses. Matches are best of three sets. Tiebreaks at six-all.
